Our skin is the largest part of our body since every part is covered by skin. While we are doing our daily activities, our skin has to fight the environmental pollutants that developed around us, such as carbon monoxide ( from factory and car emissions), dust and dirt. Those pollutants bring bad effects for skin, for examples, give it a dull gray cast, skin dryness and even worse: skin aging. We cannot avoid the pollutants since it is developed around us, but we can protect our skin and fight back those bad effects.
One of the ways to take care our skin is by using a body scrub, this article will discuss using coconut oil body scrubs.
Why body scrub?
Body scrubs give our skin triple benefits at the same time. It can exfoliate our skin, cleanse it, also moisturize it. After using a body scrub, the skin becomes soft, smooth and hydrated.
Why coconut oil?
- First, coconut oil is a natural ingredient. We can use it without feeling worried about any bad effect that may be caused by the toxic ingredients that are found in other ready-to-use products at the cosmetic store.
- Coconut oil also moisturizes our skin deeper and longer than the average products. It will be a best moisturizing solution for dry or flaking skin.
- This oil contains acids that kill candida, which responsible for fungal infection on our skin.
- It has an ability to remove the dead skin cells while absorbing quickly into our skin.
- Contains vitamin E which needed to protect our skin cells from any damage.
- It also smells good and relaxing.
After knowing the benefits of a coconut oil body scrub for our skin, you may wonder about where we can get this kind of body scrub? The good news is you can make it by yourself, at your house, and add your preference ingredients.
Coconut oil salt scrubs
Why salt?
Usually, salt that is used for scrubs is sea salt. It is best for:
- Removes the dead skin cells. For your information, dead skin cells harden with age. It makes the skin layers become thicker, looks dry and flaky. Salt, with its sharp edge, is the best solution for removing these dead skin cells.
- Sea salt also has an ability to remove the toxins that block skin pores, so that our skin can “breathe” and has a better circulation.
When these benefits are combined with the benefits of coconut oil, it will be a powerful body scrub.
