1. Applying coconut oil directly

To improve both acne and the resulted scars, apply the extra virgin coconut oil onto the affected area and leave it overnight. In the morning, wash the face with warm water followed by cold water to close the pores off. Do it regularly, making sure you rinse the residue well.

2. Mix it with other ingredient

  • Mixing coconut oil and organic turmeric will help reducing the inflammation, prevent new pimples, and make dark spots and scars less visible. To use this remedy, mix the coconut oil and turmeric powder to make a paste. Apply the paste onto the affected area and leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
  • Mixing coconut oil and chickpea flour will absorbs excess oil, heals broken skin, and lightens scars and blemishes. To do this, mix 3 tablespoons of chickpea flour with 2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder to make a paste. Massage coconut oil into skin for 5 minutes and apply the paste over this oil. Leave it for 15 minutes and massage the skin in circular motion for 5 minutes before rinsing it with warm water and patting it dry with a clean towel.
  • Mixing coconut oil and lemon juice will help lighten formed scars. Lemon juice is widely known as a potent natural bleaching agent. To make the solution, mix 2 tablespoon of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Apply it onto the scars and dark spot—not the healthy skin to prevent irritation, and leave it for 15 minutes. Afterwards, rinse with cool water and pat dry.
