TURMERIC BASED HOME – REMEDIES
1.Turmeric and Lemon Face Mask
Other than curcumin in turmeric that can help to lighten your skin tone, lemon juice can also dissolve oil level in your skin which can help to reduce the risk of acne breakouts on your skin.
The ingredients can’t be any easier than this, all you need just 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 2 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply on your skin and wait until it dries off, and rinse with cool water until all mixture is cleansed from your skin. Dry your skin with soft and clean towel.
Repeat the use of this face mask about 2 or 3 times a week for about a month and continue with using it once in every week. Adding a teaspoon of baking soda 1 table spoon of corn starch can also enhance the result from this face mask to brighten your skin.
2.Turmeric and Milk Cream
Milk has natural ability to exfoliate our skin that can peel the dead skin cells on our face. This benefit can result in brighter skin color and more glowing effect. When combined with turmeric they can be a powerful mixture to fight acne and hyperpigmentation in your skin.
Put together in a small bowl ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of milk. Mix them well and apply evenly on your face. You can double the ingredient should you need more of this mask. Let it rest for about 20 minutes and wash your face clean with water after the mask has dried off. If you still find certain spots with yellow stain from the turmeric, you can try to clean it with cotton ball dipped in milk before rinsing it again with clean water.
Repeat the use of this face mask 3 times in a week for noticeable result. You can also opt for milk powder added with rose water if you would like to have the benefits of rosewater added to your face mask.
3.Turmeric and Oil
Turmeric and oil mask is good for those suffering with supper dry, flaky skin. The oil that you may add varies from castor oil, olive oil, to almond oil. Each of the oil can give the needed moisture to your dry skin and the turmeric can give you the brighter skin that you always dreamed of.
All you need to do is mixing 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder with a 1 table spoon of any oil that you would prefer. Mix them together and apply them on your skin evenly. 4.Turmeric and Gram Flour
Turmeric and gram flour is a perfect combination for scrub that can both cleanse and give your skin natural glow which will also make your skin look brighter. If you choose to add yoghurt to this scrub it can give your skin moisture as well. However, if you cannot stand the smell of yoghurt, water can also be a good substitute.
Put together 2 tablespoon of gram flour and ½ teaspoon of turmeric with some amount of yoghurt or water. You can adjust the liquid level to get the right paste consistency of your face scrub. Apply it on your skin and give them a good rub for about 30 seconds to 1 minute before rinsing it off with cool clean water.
Repeat using this scrub once every 2 days for maximum result. Expect a more glowing skin yet subtle in texture.
