Currently in addition, to traditional library responsibilities in public health as well as medicine, she maintains the library's website (http://www.hawaii.edu/sphlib) as well as a public health website (http://hml.org/hiphive/) and teaches hands-on workshops on searching databases such as MEDLINE, and effective searching of the WEB for retrieving health information. She has even conducted MEDLINE and Internet workshops for physicians and other health professionals on each major island in Hawaii as well as distant Williamstown, Massachusetts. Her passion is teaching students and faculty to fully exploit print and electronic resources available to them.
Ginny’s an avid practitioner of tai chi, qi gong and meditation as a way of keeping a sound body and mind. She has a strong interest in meditation/qi gong/tai chi as a form of complementary medicine and is fascinated by the often overlooked mind-body connection for health maintenance.
