10 Natural Remedies to Remove Blackheads

Blackhead is one of annoying facial problem for most people. Not only on the nose, blackheads may develop on chest, back and neck!

Many products have been created specially to get rid from this blackheads problem, but some of them may cause another facial problem such as oily skin, clogged pores etc. If you are the one who has used those products but think that those bring more harm than good on your face or you are the one who wants to get rid from blackheads without experiencing any harmful side effects, one of the following natural remedies may be the right choice.

Mask made from egg whites

Eggs whites can help you to remove the blackheads and a regular application may prevent you from future blackheads.

Ingredients :

  • An egg

How to make :

  • Break the egg, and carefully separate the yellow (yolk) part of egg from its white.

How to apply :

  • Wash your face and dry it by patting a skin towel.
  • Apply the egg white for 3-5 layers onto your face, but make sure every layer (from the first one) dries first before you apply the next layer.

After application, you may feel a common reaction when your skin feels tight. Repeat this  2-3 times a week.

Baking soda Paste

Blackheads are the results from excess sebum and dead skin clogging the pores. Baking soda may clean those debrises from your face.

Ingredients :

  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda
  • An amount of water

How to make :

  • Mix the baking soda and water to the point it has a paste-like texture.

How to apply :

  • Apply the mixture to your face (or another area with blackheads problem).
  • Give it a gentle massage.
  • Leave it on and dries on its own.
  • Wash your face with warm water.

You can repeat this 1-2 times a week, followed by moisturizing your face after the application.

A paste of cinnamon, lemon juice and turmeric powder

These three ingredients will remove the blackheads from your skin.

Ingredients :

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • A pinch of turmeric powder

How to make :

  • Mix all ingredients until a paste-like texture is formed.

How to apply :

  • Apply the paste onto your face, especially the part where the blackheads stay.
  • Leave the paste until it dries on its own for about 15 minutes.
  • Wash your face with water.

For the best result, do this every day for 10 days.

Oatmeal scrub

Ingredients :

  • An amount of oatmeal.
  • A teaspoon of honey
  • Tomato juice (made from 4 tomatoes)

How to make :

  • Mix all ingredients until a paste-like texture is formed.

How to apply :

  • Scrub the paste onto your face.
  • Leave it on for about 10 minutes.
  • Rinse the paste then patting dry your face.

For the best result, repeat this every other day.

Lemon juice scrub

Beside mix it with another ingredient like in oatmeal scrub, you can also use lemon juice to remove the blackheads. It is exfoliating your skin.

Ingredients (the amount based on your preference) :

  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Honey
  • Yoghurt

How to make :

  • Mix all ingredients until a scrub texture is formed.

How to apply :

  • Apply the scrub onto your face by gently rubbing the scrub.
  • Leave it on for a while before you rinse it and patting dry your face.

Repeat this 1-2 times a week.

Lemon scrub with sugar

This scrub will remove the dead cells which cause blackheads on your skin.

Ingredients :

  • A few drops of lemon juice.
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar.

How to make :

  • Mix the lemon juice with sugar to the point it has a scrub texture.

How to apply :

  • Spread the mixture onto your face especially cheeks, and nose.
  • Rub it gently in circular motion.

Rinse it with water and patting dry.

Do this once a week.

Honey

Honey contains antibacterial and antiseptic properties which help to remove any impurity causing clogged pores.

Ingredient :

  • One tablespoon of organic raw honey

How to make :

  • Heat the honey by putting it in a small jar then put the jar into a bowl of very hot water.

How to apply :

  • Leave it until the honey is warm enough and still touchable (not too hot).
  • Dab the warm honey onto your face.
  • Let the honey to soak about 10 minutes before you remove it with a warm damp cloth.

For the best result, you can do this before your bedtime and rinse it in the next morning. Do this daily.

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and mint leaves

ACV can break the build up impurities on your skin and balance its pH in order to prevent future blackheads and acnes.

Ingredients :

  • 3 tablespoons of ACV
  • 3 tablespoons of crushed mint leaves

How to make :

  • Mix the ACV and crushed mint leaves to make a toner.

How to apply :

  • Spread the toner onto your face include nose and cheeks.
  • Leave it on for a while before you rinse it and patting dry your face.

Repeat this daily.

Kasturi Turmeric Paste

Why do we use kasturi turmeric? Because the common turmeric will stain your skin and give it a yellow color, on the other hand kasturi turmeric will not stain.

Ingredients (the amount based on your preference)  :

  • A small amount of kasturi turmeric
  • Coconut oil/ water (optional)

How to make :

  • Mix the kasturi turmeric with coconut oil or water until it forms a paste.

How to apply :

  • Dab the paste onto your face.
  • Leave it soak into your skin for 15 minutes before you rinse it with lukewarm water.
  • Patting dry your face with a clean towel.

Repeat this daily.

Cinnamon and honey strips

Honey will remove anything clogging the skin pores, while cinnamon promotes good blood circulation which smoothen your skin and make it healthier and glow.

Ingredients :

  • One part of cinnamon powder
  • One part of organic raw honey
  • Clean strips of cotton

How to make :

  • Mix both cinnamon powder and honey until it becomes a paste.

How to apply :

  • Spread the paste onto the blackheads part of your face.
  • Put a strip of cotton over the layer and press it.
  • Leave it on for 5 minutes before you remove the strip and wash your face.

Repeat this daily, followed by moisturizing your face after the application.

Those are the natural remedies you can use to fight and remove the blackheads from your face. For the best result, you can dab your face with warm water before apply any remedy, it helps to open the pores and makes the removing process becomes easier, then do not forget to moisturize your face after each application.
